The Taxateca's Garden is a small private botanical garden which contains an interesting plant collection of hundreds of species. It was founded on May 17th of 2013 and has an extension of 2.000 square meters.

Malephora crocea
Details: A creeping South African succulent species that forms ground cover. It is drought-tolerant and can withstand temperatures as low as around -7ºC.
Mammillaria bocasana
Details: A Mexican cactus that is completely covered in white hairs and has sharp, hook-like spines that latch onto anything that touches it. It is relatively resistant to cold, withstanding short frosts of up to almost -10ºC.
Mammillaria bombycina
Details: A Mexican cactus that is covered by hook-like spines that latch onto anything that touches it. It flowers on spring and is frost tender.
Mammillaria gracilis
Details: Small clustered cactus native from Mexico, drought resistant, but frost tender (until -4ºC). It produce small yelowish flowers in the warm and humid season.
Mammillaria hahniana (2017)
Details: Cactus native to Mexico with latex inside, surface covered with hairs, and bright pink flowers that form rings on the stem. It grows in areas with winter drought and can resist up to -10ºC for short periods of time.
Mammillaria linaresensis (2019)
Details: A solitary small cactus endemic to a small area of northeastern Mexico. It withstands drought very well and temperatures of up to around -10°C for a few hours.

Details: A solitary small cactus endemic to northeastern Mexico. It withstands drought very well and temperatures of up to around -10°C for a few hours.
Melaleuca pustulata (2016)
Details: It is an endemic Tasmanian shrub, growing in relatively dry soils. It blooms massively in spring and supports up to -10ºC.
Mentha pulegium
Details: It is a species of mint commonly used to prepare infusions known as pennyroyal mint tea. It is frost-resistant and requires a lot of water to thrive, typically being a semi-aquatic species.
Mimosa polycarpa
Details: It is a shrubby species of mimosa that quickly folds its leaves when touched. It is relatively drought-tolerant and can withstand temperatures down to around -6°C

Mimusops zeyheri
Details: It is a tree from southern Africa that resists periods of drought, but not temperatures below zero degrees. It is slow growing and its fruits are edible.
Mirabilis jalapa
Details: It is a popular species in gardening due to its abundant and showy flowers and its ease of cultivation. It is drought-tolerant and survives the winter as an underground rhizome, allowing it to withstand frosts that do not penetrate the soil. The flowers open only at night
Monstera deliciosa
Details: The Swiss cheese plant is a popular climbing plant from tropical America, very easy to care for, although it does not tolerate frost. Its fruits are edible when fully ripe, as they are irritating if not properly matured.
Musa x paradisiaca (no picture)
Details: This species is the banana plant, native to Papua but now cultivated throughout the tropics.
Myrtillocactus geometrizans (2012)
Details: It is a beautiful gray-blue cactus native to northeastern Mexico. It is highly drought-resistant and can withstand temperatures down to around -10ºC. Its fruits are edible.
