The Taxateca's Garden is a small private botanical garden which contains an interesting plant collection of hundreds of species. It was founded on May 17th of 2013 and has an extension of 2.000 square meters.

Ocimum basilicum

 

Category: Herbaceous. Temperature: Frost tender. Water: Regularly. Details: Leafs are used as sweet basil.  Interchange availability: Yes, seeds.


Ocimum gratissimum

 

Category: Shrub. Temperature: Frost tender (-2ºc). Water: Regularly. Details: Leafs are used as species.  Interchange availability: Yes, seeds.

 


Ophrys speculum

 

Category: Herbaeous. Temperature: Frost resistant. Water: Regularly, drought resistant. Details: Bizarre flowers. Plants are underground on summer.  Interchange availability: Yes, rizomes.


Orbea lutea

Opuntia ficus-indica

Opuntia eliator

 

Details: It is a cactus endemic of the dry areas of the Caribbean region. It flowers in the warmest seasson, and the fruits are edible, although not much appreciated. It resist temperatures of -7ºC.


Opuntia microdasys

 

Category: Succulent. Temperature: Light frost resistant. Water: Drought resistant. Details: Nice plant, but a bit dangerous for its spines.


Opuntia stricta

 

Details: It is a cactus endemic of the dry areas of the Caribbean region. It flowers in the warmest seasson, and the fruits are edible, although not much appreciated. It resist temperatures of -7ºC.


Oscularia deltoides

 

Category: Succulent shrub. Temperature: Light frost resistant (until -5ºc). Water: Drought resistant. Details: Produce abundant flowers on spring.


Oxalis articulata
