Characteristics of Conosa:
The phylum Conosa comprises organisms with a worldwide distribution, mainly
microscopic, which inhabit both water and soil.
It is composed of Amebozoa that either present one, two, or many flagella
(filamentous structures that propel the organism when they move) at least in
some phases of their life cycle, or if they have lost them in all life stages,
they still possess structures related to flagella, such as centrosomal
microtubules. While some groups are unicellular, others have sexual phases in
which isolated cells come together to form a structure a few millimeters in size
that produces spores.
